JOHN HOWARD tried to interfere in Australia's love affair with Kevin Rudd, and we didn't appreciate it.
Howard had hoped that his smears would taint Rudd's image and bring his stratospheric popularity down closer to the muddy ground Howard occupies.
The opposite has happened. Rudd was already the most popular Opposition leader in the 35-year history of the ACNielsen poll, with an approval rating of 65 per cent. In today's poll he has surmounted his own record by adding another 2 percentage points to his approval. -Sydney Morning Herald.
ha ha ha. It's so exciting, finally finally by the end of this year we are potentially going to be living in a country with a dignified, forward-thinking head of state, the alternative to Howard's sleaziness and scare-tactics. (except that The Queen is actually our head of state. Well that might all change soon too!)

Some of the lovely inks that I bought in Thailand for $2 each. Today I didn't have to go to uni because the filler subject I have today will probably only have 3 tutorials all semester. I tidied my room some more, dipped mini easter eggs that nana bought me into tea, went for a walk. I haven't gotten myself a job yet (hoping to find a reasonably good one), and uni has been so laid back and nice so far that I am quite the lady of leisure. It's nice, I should appreciate it more.

Tomorrow I’m flying to Thailand! I’ll be overseas for about 2 and a half months, traveling on my own for some of it for the first time!

I'm going to start posting some of the little craft-y things I do. Do you have a problem with that???? (haha.)

I would love to finish cutting and pasting every single picture from my psych notes. But I should study. And go to sleep. And go to my exam. And come home and decide whether or not to start studying for my exam on Thursday.

Oh my god, after I quit in a few weeks to go overseas(!!), this uniform from work is going to finally make my pajamas/staying-home-all-day-clothes the best outfit ever.
A big black stretchy skirt with white polka dots over a yellow pair of flannelette pajamas with rainbows, and a huge cream cotton pajama shirt with roses without buttons over this t-shirt (cut into a more flattering (and a little unusually reveling for me) shape). Ah, it'll be so comfortable and beautiful.

I love a good travel guide, and this one's focus on dodgy/ strange late nights makes it my favourite. It's from 1979.

She's 15 years old!!
Half border collie, half "dog" ("your mother was a slut!" mum often gently tells her), Motley was rejected as a companion dog for being "too needy". Saved from death row by my sometimes more compassionate mother, she's having a lovely retirement scratching Andrew for not paying her enough attention, being bemused by and a bit scared of nana, and adoring mum and tennis balls.
She's born on the same day as Cher and George W. Bush.

(It looks like we have a stuffed dog that we place around the house.)
( Proof she's still alive )
